2003 AKA Kitemakers Competition:
Arches & Ribbons

"Collage a Trois" by Mary Gabby

FIRST PLACE

Inspiration for this arch came from a colorful bag of scraps. The pattern alternates to give it extra movement. This arch has 45 elements.

"Transition" by Todd Little

SECOND PLACE

This arch phases in color from purple to green. In addition, there is a secondary arch which transitions within the kites themselves.

"Bioghraphy Arch" by Jim Martin

THIRD PLACE

The graphics were inspired by all the people, events, and places that have been inportant to Jim over the years.

"Rainbow" by Pete Dolphin

Unfortunately, the winds were too great and Pete had to scratch, but this ribbon is still beauty!
