Kitemakers' Competition |
Most kitebuiding competitions are
comprehensive, in that the kites are judged by the following
criteria:

Visual Appeal

Flight
-
Craftsmanship
-
Structural Design
The

chaired the AKA Kite Making
Competitions Committee, has been Head Judge for AKA's National
Convention since 1997, and provides judging services for many
kite building competitions all over the country. |

Each year the AKA holds a
national convention which is a wonderful five day gathering of
kite enthusiasts, artists, and competitors. This is where we
