Gary, in your plan, you recommend the Prospar 19 and 16 for the frame. Trouble is, they are no longer available. Can you make an alternative recomendation?

I get a lot of people emailing me with this question and I make my own suggestion, but I'd like to hear it from the horses... eh um kitebuilders mouth.

Thanks....

I would recommend SkyShark P300 for the entire kite and SOLID Carbon internal Ferrels, but I am not the horse's...... I am just another kite builder.

Great plans and I have decided it's my 1st project. I will probably muck it up a bait by making it from some different colors sewn toegther since I want to try painting " The Scream" as in the commercial version, but other than that, I'll try and control my urges to do it all the hard way.

My one question < yeah right> is how do you print your name on the Webbing??? NOW that is COOL!

Laughing

On Gary's plan he shows the velcro spine tensioner with his name on it. It's done on a sewing machine. A lot of the higher end sewing machines will have 1 or 2 alphabet stitches you can choose from. (pfaff 2044 has it)

Photo from Gary's web site..

it looks to me like Bill is right. It looks like it was done on a home sewing machine.

I made custom straps for myself and my girlfriend on our pfaff 1475. It was just a test really. I had some Webbing around and wanted to see it's capabilities the first day I had it.

My 1371 makes those letters, too. Yep, got it used. A real bargain. But the lettering function is the least used option on the machine.

A Sharpie silver works as well, and much less trouble. Razz
Or use a paint pen. Laughing
Or even fabric paint. Shocked
