Hello,
OK, it has been long enough now for me to forget how hard the Jordan Project was. I am sitting here with a Scotch, and the idea of a new project is starting to sound good. I have thought a lot about this next project, and here it is!!!!

Back some years ago, on a planet far, far ways, called Oregon, there was a guy that had a gift for building kites, his name was John Waters.. He designed many things, but his most famous included the well known Peter Lynn Lifter, the Bull Dog lifter, and the Spin Sock!!! (Someone had to) Anyway, the BullDog Kite is one heck of a great kite.

The BullDog is an ultimate Heavy Wind Kite. That is the exact reason that I chose it for the next project. Here in Texas, we start our flying season, and some early events are in very heavy winds. Everyone sits around and curses the wind Gods for the blow. If I go to a festival, I am there to fly. Period. I know the Bulldog will fly well in over 35 MPH winds. So, to get a show going, when no one else can, the Bulldog is the perfect lifter for line laundry, etc. It is well behaved, and well designed. It will be a dependable work horse kite in your bag. It does well in light-medium also.

The project is going to be different from the Jordan Project. I am going to buy from Steve Ferrell the 1.5 oz Rip Stop in 5-6 basic colors, 1st grade.. I will cut out ALL of the pieces. Not just the Ribs and Keels, but skins also. You will be able to mix and match from these colors, and the combination's are endless. Keeping up with the grades, colors and manufacturers was the pits on the Jordan project. This way, you can make the finished kite by sewing, and not much cutting. I will also supply the bridle lines precut and ready to tie on. The kite will be 90 sqft., and is a kick butt great kite. It will also pull your teeth out.

As before, I am not making a penny on this project. I will cut out the material as close, and efficiently as possible, divide the cost for materials only, and that is it. You will pay your postage. I am again doing this for the love of SINGLE LINE KITES, and the great original group of 21 Jordan Project guys. They would inspire anyone.

I have permission from Steve at Catch The Wind in Lincoln City, Oregon, the holder of the copyright, and each will receive a patch and letter of approval to build the kite. Thanks to him for letting us do this project.

Is anyone on board? I am getting ready to go. If the project gets to many participants, I reserve the right to limit it. Let me know if you are interested.
I will add details tomorrow of colors, etc. Because of the holidays, end of the year, etc. I am going to take orders until the end of February, but do not put this project off. Kites will be sent out within 2 weeks in March. If you need earlier tell me asap.

The kite will be called a PIT BULLDOG. Tell your friends. ROCK and ROLL!

I love my 200 I needed more tail for it though.
Does this kite need a tail like the jordan????

Hello, These lifters take very little or no tail. In high winds over 18, I put on a small tube tail about 8" by 30'. They are not tail sensitive.

I will take photos of some of my Bull Dogs tomorrow, and post on my webshots. I will show details.

I own 9 Bull Dogs of various sizes, and they all are great.
