Lovely design, I hope the spars you used are stiff enough to do the job, are these glass fibre? _________________ JC

Fiberglass spars. 1/8" on the 23" model, 3/16" for the 60" kite.

LOL...you have to be the most observant person in the forum to spot that.
You should have been an artist...or maybe you are?
You definitely look beyond the obvious. _________________ Ron

LOL I noticed the reflection, but was enthralled with the actual project. I really like it...a lot. Hope it flys at least half as good as it looks.
Heck, I even like the white framework!
Hope the reduced wing area from the holes are not a problem, but the holes add so much interest..... _________________

Thank you all for your kind comments.
I looked out the window and noticed a few leaves moving in the tree and grabbed everything and drove to the high school.
Zero wind. (Phoey!)
Back to the drawing board.
Maybe later. _________________ Ron

Ooh, that looks nice so far. It'll probably have no problem self-relaunching, since it can roll around.
Any particular reason for the offset in the colours?
ie. The 60 degrees rotation between the inner and outer layers.

It looks to me like there is a fair amount of sail area for the number of spars, compared to other flakes, waldof boxes, etc.
Or is that just my imagination? _________________ John Rose
